AI Specialist

An IT Hub in South Africa delivering innovative and comprehensive solutions and operations across various technologies such as SAP, JAVA, Cloud, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and more. This client We is seeking an AI specialist to join a conversational AI team. This role focuses on enhancing our enterprise-level AI solutions with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, requirements engineering, and hands-on involvement in LLM technologies and GenAI architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse, document, and translate business needs into technical requirements for conversational AI solutions.
• Collaborate across global teams, IT departments, and business units to align on implementation strategies.
• Contribute to the development of LLM testing frameworks and chatbot performance evaluation methods.
• Stay current on LLM advancements and enterprise integration techniques.
• Optimize chatbot configuration and prompt design for intuitive and effective user experiences.
• Define KPIs, quality standards, and compliance measures for scalable enterprise solutions.
• Contribute to the design of secure, scalable AI architectures.
• Maintain implementation roadmaps with a focus on adaptability and continuous improvement.
• Address complex challenges and participate in co-creation workshops for solution enhancements.

Qualifications and experience:

• University degree in Business Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, or similar roles in enterprise settings.
• Familiarity with conversational AI frameworks, chatbot systems, and agent-based architectures. Hands-on experience in prompt engineering and understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Solid understanding of cloud-based deployment, API integration, and cybersecurity in enterprise settings.
• Basic knowledge of GenAI enterprise architecture concepts such as Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Experience developing user-centric digital platforms within Conversational AI or related AI domains.
