    Role overview

    ERA is looking for a proactive, highly organised and effective Marketing Coordinator to coordinate and support the organisation’s marketing and communications function.

    This is a hands-on coordination and implementation role for someone who is driven, solutions-oriented and capable of bringing structure, momentum and creativity to the function.

    The successful candidate will act as the central coordination point between ERA’s internal stakeholders, members, partners and external marketing, PR and communications service providers. The role requires someone who can manage projects effectively, build strong professional relationships, drive campaigns forward and ensure that marketing initiatives are implemented professionally and consistently.

    We are looking for someone who takes initiative, follows through, communicates well and brings fresh thinking and energy to the role. Strong organisational ability, reliability and ownership are critical to success in this position.

    Key responsibilities:

    Marketing coordination and campaign management
    • Coordinate the rollout and implementation of ERA’s marketing and communications strategy.
    • Manage timelines, deliverables, approvals and workflows across multiple campaigns and projects.
    • Coordinate external marketing, PR, communications, creative and digital service providers.
    • Ensure projects move forward efficiently and stakeholders remain informed and aligned.
    • Track campaign progress and assist with reporting and performance monitoring.
    • Ensure consistency in ERA’s branding, messaging and professional positioning.
    Stakeholder and relationship management

    Act as a key marketing liaison for:
    • Producer members
    • Strategic partners
    • Service providers
    • Collaborative projects and campaigns
    • Coordinate marketing-related engagement with external stakeholders professionally and responsively.
    • Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
    • Support collaborative campaigns, activations and industry initiatives.
    Content and communications coordination

    Coordinate, with our service providers, the development and distribution of:
    • Social media content
    • Newsletters
    • Website updates
    • Campaign communications
    • Event communications
    • Internal communications
    • Gather information and input from internal teams and external stakeholders.
    • Review and coordinate content produced by external agencies and service providers.
    Events, campaigns and industry initiatives

    Support the planning and coordination of:
    • Industry events
    • Conferences
    • Stakeholder engagements
    • Activations and launches
    • Coordinate suppliers, branding, logistics and communications linked to events and campaigns.
    Administration and operational support
    • Maintain organised campaign trackers, project plans and marketing records.
    • Assist with budget tracking, procurement coordination and supplier administration.
    • Ensure strong follow-through on tasks, timelines and action items.
    • Support reporting requirements linked to campaigns and stakeholder engagement.

    Remuneration:

    R35,000 – R45,000 per month cost-to-company, experience dependent

    Knowledge and skills:

    Minimum requirements and core skills:
    • Diploma or degree in marketing, communications, public relations, media or a related field.
    • Approximately 5-8 years’ experience in a marketing coordination, account management or project coordination role.
    • Experience working with external agencies, suppliers or service providers.
    • Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication ability.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Strong administrative discipline and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.
    Advantageous skills and experience

    The following would be advantageous, but are not essential:
    • Social media coordination and scheduling
    • Basic design capability (e.g. Canva, Adobe Suite)
    • Website content management
    • Photography or videography
    • Copywriting or content creation
    • Event coordination
    • Sustainability, environmental or NGO sector exposure
    • Experience using AI and digital productivity tools
