    Job description

    The Local Agency (TLA) is building the infrastructure layer for the African creator economy. We are looking for a Head of Community and Talent to join our leadership team and lead the growth of our creator ecosystem.

    This is a founding-level opportunity with equity participation for an entrepreneurial leader who is passionate about creators, community building, talent development, and platform growth.

    The successful candidate will own and scale TLA Community and TLA Talent, ensuring that creators, brands, and opportunities are connected through a thriving ecosystem.

    Key responsibilities
    • Develop and execute growth strategies for TLA community.
    • Build and manage a pipeline of emerging and established creators.
    • Identify, recruit, and onboard high-potential creators into the TLA ecosystem.
    • Lead talent acquisition and talent management initiatives.
    • Negotiate and manage creator agreements and partnerships.
    • Build strong relationships with creators, brands, and strategic partners.
    • Collaborate with leadership to define growth objectives, KPIs, and success metrics.
    • Monitor community health, engagement, retention, and growth.
    • Identify new opportunities for creator education, networking, and monetisation.
    • Provide strategic input into community programming, events, workshops, and content initiatives.
    • Work closely with the community lead to ensure content and community initiatives support growth objectives.
    • Evaluate platform performance and implement improvements to increase participation and engagement.
    • Develop scalable processes for creator onboarding, management, and community engagement.
    • Contribute to the long-term development of TLA’s creator ecosystem and future technology products.
    • Represent TLA at industry events, creator gatherings, and partner meetings.
    • Build systems that strengthen the connection between community growth, talent development, and commercial opportunities.
    This role will be accountable for the overall growth and performance of the community and talent ecosystem. Success will be measured through creator acquisition, community engagement, talent development, retention, and contribution to business growth.
