The Death of Free Press in Zimbabwe

The Zimbabwean parliament has passed a media bill making it illegal for journalists to work without government accreditation. Critical reporting of the government is banned. Foreign correspondents will not be allowed in the country to cover the upcoming election. Violations carry jail-terms of up to 2 years.
