ZTA CEO, Karikoga Kaseke, said they were involved with the WTG for an international image building exercise, but no agreements had been signed yet.
He added that they had requested proposals and costs on key areas government wants the WTG to assist Zimbabwe, particularly tourism and image building.
“They have capacities in different areas, including resource mobilisation and image building,” Kaseke said.
The WTG CEO Graham Cook was in the country recently and met several stakeholders including Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai and Vice-President Joice Mujuru.
The WTG executives promised to link-up the inclusive government of President Robert Mugabe and Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai with the global media on an aggressive international marketing campaign to improve perception, the country information technology systems and get “people like Bill Gates [to] take an interest into Zimbabwe.”
