Senior Developer

An international technology consultancy is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to lead the modernization of enterprise financial platforms. The role focuses on migrating legacy .NET systems to scalable, Java-based architectures while working fully remotely with global teams and UK-based clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead backend development across C#/.NET and Java/J2EE
• Drive migration from legacy .NET to modern Java architectures
• Design secure, scalable enterprise financial systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional and client-facing teams
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud deployments (AWS/Azure)
• Mentor junior developers

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and Java/J2EE
• Solid SQL and large dataset experience
• Experience with CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Consulting or client-facing experience preferred
