Country's brightest acknowledged at Standard Bank Rising Star Awards
The sixth annual Standard Bank Rising Star Awards were held at the Hilton Sandton. The event was hosted by comedian Joey Rasdien and the Tourism Minister, Tokozile Xasa, delivered the opening address.
The awards are aimed at acknowledging 12 industries' rising stars and creating a network of rising stars who are able to assist themselves and others in progressing in their respective industries. Over the last three years, the network has expanded to include 150 of the most talented young people in the country.
Conrad Pezula Hotel's executive housekeeper Thozama Mali was named the rising star of the tourism, leisure, and hospitality, 28 to 40 year age category.
