The 2010 Galliova Food Writer of the Year has been awarded to Herman Lensing, young food editor of SARIE, who took over in 2009 from Barbara Joubert. Sponsored by the South African egg industry, the awards recognise excellence in food writing, food styling and overall promotion of the South African food culture. Barbara Joubert, now editor of SARIE KOS, received a merit award for the most creative and inspiring way of using eggs at this year's ceremony.
