On Saturday, 16 November 2013, Digital Woman Award crowned Dr. Dorothy Okello of Kampala, Uganda, Africa's Digital Woman of the Year at an Africa ICT Days gala ceremony held in Cameroon. Dr Okello was awarded the title for for her work to increase participation of girls and women in digital sectors in Africa and around the world through WOUGNET (Women of Uganda Network).
