DA's new campaign video is pastiche of a Childish Gambino music video

The Democratic Alliance (DA) has looked stateside for inspiration for its latest General Elections campaign video. "This is the Real South Africa", a pastiche of Childish Gambino's "This is America" music video, aims to get South Africans to hold onto the ideals of the Rainbow Nation by voting for the party.

Unsurprisingly, the video has strong evoked a reaction from sides of the party and has already been viewed 100,000 times via the party's Twitter handle.
