When troops rioted in Zimbabwe this week, the first reaction of many was to view it as the first major cracks in Mugabe's powerbase.
Now, however, one of Mugabe's former ministers has posed a question... could it be that the riots and looting of shops were staged - as an excuse to declare a state of emergency and clamp down on the opposition?
