New PR agency TDH Communications opened its doors for business at the beginning of July 2006.
Headed up by Tracy Hyams, TDH Communications is a small agency offering clients a personalised service, developing effective PR plans to help build brand awareness in the media.
"I want my clients to understand that PR isn't just about free editorial space and publicity," Hyams says. "Effective PR is an intricate relationship building exercise with media and publications, stakeholders and employees. It's about strategising and implementing workable communication plans that align with the values of the organisation and work hand-in-hand with other elements in the marketing mix. It's about realistically managing client's expectations. And most importantly, in my opinion, its about ensuring that at the end of the day, the client, the media and any other stakeholders involved are happy with the results - all of which I want to achieve through TDH Communications."
Hyams is better known in the industry for her role as former communications manager at branding giant Enterprise IG, and more recently at Espial, currently South Africa's leading branding and design agency. She has eight years of diversified PR experience under her belt, having worked at some of the country's top PR agencies including Diagonal Street Communications (now Ogilvy PR) and Holland Park Communication Group.
