We're on the hunt for an experienced IT Data Architect to join a dynamic team in Sandton, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping enterprise data strategy and delivering cutting-edge Azure-based solutions within the insurance industry.

• Design and build scalable, secure, and high-performing Azure data platforms.
• Lead exciting cloud modernization and legacy migration initiatives.
• Create robust data models that empower business intelligence and analytics.
• Champion data governance, quality, and master data management practices.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to unlock the full value of data.
• Drive innovation through modern analytics, automation, and cloud technologies.

What we're looking for

• Relevant IT or business degree (BCom, BSc, or equivalent)
• 7+ years of enterprise data architecture experience
• 5+ years within the insurance industry
• Strong Azure data platform expertise
• Experience delivering large-scale cloud and hybrid solutions
• Knowledge of POPIA, GDPR, data governance, and security best practices
• Microsoft/Azure certifications are a bonus!

Location : Sandton | permanent position

Salary: R1.2M per annum
