94.7 Highveld Stereo will be hosting a 13-hour radiothon for charity on 14 June 2006. "As part of [our] commitment to social responsibility and in commemoration of Youth Day we've decided to undertake this massive radiothon on behalf of the Tomorrow Trust," explains 94.7 station manager Ravi Naidoo. "We're hoping to raise much-needed funding for the organisation and in doing so, empower the youth of this country. Young people orphaned and affected by HIV/Aids find themselves in challenging situations with regards to their future growth and education."
