The 35 finalists will be judged in Johannesburg by a panel of high profile CAs and business leaders on 30 August and 1 September. The winner will be announced at a gala event on 29 September and will be profiled as the cover feature of the October issue of SAICA’s publication ASA.

“Since we started this competition three years ago, the calibre of participants who enter amazes me. The participants show that what they learn during their individual journeys towards becoming CAs (SA) is of significant importance," says Willi Coates, senior executive for brand at SAICA. “This competition is a platform that also reveals that CAs(SA) play a significant role in the economy and the competitive world that we live in. Through Top-35-under-35, we see that they are no longer confined to the finance world only but are also contributing to academia, the public sector, community upliftment, the corporate sector and business creation,” concludes Coates.
