    ElchimR sponsors Miss Earth South Africa

    ElchimR Professional Hairstyling Tools, will sponsor Miss Earth South Africa together with Bijan Boutique Hairdressing, as mainline hairstyling sponsor. This year's event will be held at Emperor's Palace on 11 September, 2010.

    ElchimR South Africa co-director Quentin du Plooy said: "We are exceptionally proud of the ElchimR heritage as a company that champions the use of eco-friendly products and of our association with Bijans hairdressing team, we remain committed to caring for the environment as reinforced through our sponsorship of this event."

    Provide product and services

    The sponsorship agreement will have ElchimR South Africa and Bijan Boutique Hairdressing provide product and services to the Miss Earth South Africa winner and five ambassadresses, to the joint value of R98 850. The breakdown of the prize pot is as follows:

    * ElchimR SA: Professional hairstyling equipment, as well as an intensive hair care and product workshop for the winner and each of the ambassadresses.
    * Bijan Hairstylist: An on-site salon service with eight hairstylists on the night of the gala function, as well as one-year hair-maintenance sponsorship for the overall winner and three runners-up.

    Get behind the greening effort

    Catherine Constantinides, national director for Miss Earth South Africa said: "We feel it is a critical time for brands to come forward and get behind the greening effort. We love working with people who share our environmental values, and are therefore thrilled to have ElchimR South Africa and Bijan Boutique Hairdressing on board."

    Miss Earth South Africa aims to educate and empower young South African women, in order that they may embrace the environmental challenges we are faced with as South Africans.

    The 2010 winner will be announced at a gala dinner at Emperor's Palace. She will then go on to compete in the International Miss Earth pageant on 4 December, 2010, in Vietnam.
