Analytics Engineer

Our client is looking for an Analytics Engineer to help transform raw data into trusted, decision-ready insights for enterprise clients across retail, quick-service restaurants, e-commerce fulfilment, and third-party logistics.

Working within our data team, you will design and maintain reporting solutions, define business metrics, build robust data models, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical outputs. Our data platform runs on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery, supporting both internal operations and client-facing reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using looker studio or similar BI tools.
• Define and maintain business metrics, KPIs, and semantic layers in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain data transformation models using dbt.
• Write efficient, cost-effective SQL queries in BigQuery.
• Perform ad hoc analysis to support operational, commercial, and client requirements.
• Implement data quality testing, monitoring, and documentation practices.
• Support self-service analytics and contribute to data governance standards.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deliver trusted analytical datasets.
• Present findings and explain methodologies to clients and stakeholders when required.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, information systems, operations research, or a related field.
• 5+ years' GCP and BigQuery experience.
• Data pipeline development and orchestration (Airflow, Cloud Composer, Dataflow).
• Python for automation and data processing.
• experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or analytics engineering.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large analytical datasets.
• Strong experience with looker studio (or similar BI platforms).
• Hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud).
