About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Production Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of production within a high-volume digital print environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production operations, improving efficiencies, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring on-time delivery across multiple print projects and client accounts.

This role requires strong leadership skills, deep technical knowledge of digital printing processes, and proven experience within the print manufacturing industry.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily production operations across digital print departments.
• Lead, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve operational targets.
• Ensure all production schedules are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Oversee workflow planning, resource allocation, and capacity management.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of print quality and finishing.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are implemented for all production equipment.
• Work closely with sales, customer service, design, and dispatch teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Manage stock control and procurement of production materials.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Analyse production data and prepare operational performance reports.

Requirements

• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in the print industry, with at least 5 years in a senior production management role.
• Strong experience in large-format digital printing, litho printing, finishing, and production workflows.
• Proven experience managing high-volume production environments.
• • Excellent knowledge of digital print machinery, print processes, colour management, and finishing techniques.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with production planning systems and workflow management software.
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Financial and operational management experience advantageous.
  • Relevant qualification in Printing, Production Management, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
