This marks its first step in making content available through an app on the big screen, as it has been focused solely on native mobile and social distribution of content to date.

The new tvOS App allows users to consume and engage with AJ+ content and features a unique emoji reactions feature that replaces the classic star rating system used by many publishers. This not only allows users to express themselves more emotively but is also channelled back to the newsroom to allow producers to gauge how the content is performing with the audience.

It operates in three languages: Arabic, English and Spanish, with over two billion cumulative views online. Just over a year after its inception in September 2014, AJ+ has built a unique and captivating content catalogue in the news and information space, with innovative formats of video-centric content.
