Qualified VW / Audi Motor Vehicle TechnicianA well-established dealership in the East Rand of Gauteng is looking for a qualified motor vehicle technician with VW experience. The suitable candidate will have working experience within a dealership capacity with a trade test.
Experience required:
- Minimum three years of experience as a motor vehicle technician (required)
- Volkswagen experience
- Qualified technician
- Strong communication skills
Job responsibilities:
- Servicing and repair: Perform meticulous servicing and repairs on vehicles booked into the dealership, ensuring they are returned to optimal condition.
- Accurate diagnosis: Utilise your diagnostic expertise to pinpoint issues accurately and report findings promptly for efficient resolution.
- Tool maintenance: Keep diagnostic tools updated and in prime condition to facilitate precise diagnosis and repair.
- Parts coordination: Work closely with parts sales executives to procure relevant and correct parts, maintaining a seamless workflow.
- Issue management: Notify management promptly of any service-related issues to ensure swift resolution and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Client interaction: Engage with clients by scheduling vehicle bookings, checking in customers, and conducting follow-ups to provide exceptional service.
- Administrative duties: Update job cards with accurate and detailed information on service/repairs, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Parts planning: Proactively plan and order parts in advance based on vehicle identification to streamline service processes.
- Production planning: Demonstrate your ability to plan production schedules effectively, prioritising activities based on criticality to meet service demands.
- Maintaining standards: Uphold the principles of 5 S's (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) at all times to create a safe and organised work environment.
- Cost management: Understand the costing of job cards and ensure accuracy in cost estimation and billing processes.
